The Yachts and crews are dedicated only to you and your guests from the moment of boarding to yacht. With a private yacht you can simply anchor where you want find beaches that are accessible only by boat ( tender). Fancy world known places can be visited with any problem…..
Of course ! But please note that you are held responsibile for their safety and behaviour. Crew on board are responsibile for yacht and navigation and can not be held and responsibile for children while on board of yachts. Some larger ocean going yachts have crews dedicated just for children.
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed on board of yachts. Crews have to maintain highest standards in regards to cleanliness. Pets are sensitive even more than humans and therefore longer cruising can be uncomfortable for pets.
Yes, passports and even though Visas, if applicable, are the responsibility of the charterer and must be secured in advance of the charter.
NYC team will sending you a food preference list ( APA – Advanced Provisioning Allowance) before commencement of charter. With filled list we/crews will be familiar with your favorite foods and beverages. Chefs will do their outmost to satisfy your requirements.
These extra expenses are the provisioning for guests, the fuel cost, land arrangements etc. Normally it is about 25 or 30% of the contract value and all items are specified in an Addendum attached to the charter contracts providing breakdown analysis of the costs. Final accounts will be produced by the Captain at the end of the charter on presence of the Broker and any unused funds will be refunded in full to the Charterer directly. If the funds are not sufficient, the Captain will advise you accordingly and bills will be settled upon disembarkation
It is critical to learn in advance for the crew are you suffering from any allergies or serious aversions. If so please specify in preference list.
These situations are hard to predict. If you are worried about seasickness check with your local pharmacist for special medication before departure. If you are first time charterer, notify crew and agent as they will try to make your route and or cruising, comfortable if possible by recommending routes in protected waters and out of bad weather conditions ( high seas)
Smoking is not permitted i.e. strictly forbiden in the staterooms or cabins. Many yachts allow smoking in the salons and day areas, but most of yachts regulations allow smoking out on deck. If you or your guests are smokers, please advise your charter broker and we will do our best to ensure that the crew is informed timely i.e. accordingly.
Most of large yachts are fully equipped with laundry facilities on board to handle a large amount of linen and crew uniforms, but crew will assist you even with taking your laundry to the professionals ashore.
Most of yachts are equipped with the latest communication technology including cellulars service, global satellite telecommunications ( GMDSS) , PC-s and fax machines, so you can be asured that you will be reachable regardless position of yacht.
Crews are experienced and carefully seleceted with entertaining the celebrities and prominent statesmen. All of them are professionals and discreet in any way, you can be sure that your privacy is guaranteed.
Crew tips is entirely a matter for your personal discretion, if you are satisfied with the level of services on board, a usual gratuity amount is from 5 % to10% of the charter fee. It is recommeded to handed to the captain to distribute fairly amongst all members of the crew, but again it is up to you.
It is clearly stated in charter contarct either MYBA or HYBA what is insured.
The yacht is insured by the owner during your charter, however its recommend in some cases that you purchase liability coverage to protect you and your guests as well as personal effects from any unforeseen situations which could arrise.
The daily rates are quoted in our yacht listings and same can be changed with any notice. Charter rates are specified in U.S. dollars or Euros. The charter agreement is standard for all yacht chartering companies in Greece. Terms of refund in case of cancellation are specified in the charter agreement.
The charter fee also includes all operational expenses, such us crew’s wages and their food, insurance on yacht and crew and harbour charges including water and/or electricity taken from the shore. Crewed yachts are also outfitted, at no extra charge, with leisure equipment such as dinghy with outboard motor, water-skis, windsurfer, snorkeling equipment, fishing equipment, television, video, stereo and often many more items, are subject of the yacht inventory and it is not equal i.e. applicable to all yachts, as equipment varies from yacht to yacht.
The charterer will be charged extra, at cost to the yacht, for all other operating expenses while on board such us; V.A.T., fuel, passenger’s food, wine and bonded goods (liquors) and personal laundry, Corinth Canal dues, private marina fees and an approximately 10 per cent surcharge for sailing in waters that are not Greek (covers port dues, agency rights, sanitary dues and legally required surcharge on crew’s wages).
We are at your disposal to analyze your trips parameters and consult with the captain to provide an estimate of these charges in advance. A good rule of thumb is to allow 25/30 % of the charter fee towards expenses. This does not include tips to the crew, which is discretionary.
NYC staff including crew on board of yacht will give their outmost to assist you in regards to selection of places, islands, i.e. in creation of itinerary as per your requests.
Normally that you can! But please note that approximately 4 hours cruising per day is a about the maximum, and you may find this far too much and in the meantime please check our itineraries suggestions on our website.
